NCKU registration Southeast Asian languages open now

The new season comes with new learning opportunities. Register now to learn Southeast Asian languages!

The market in Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and South Asia is gaining more importance as Taiwanese government sets up a five-year plan aiming at expanding industrial, educational, cultural and agricultural exchanges between Taiwan and the two markets.

In response to the communication needs, the Foreign Language Center at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) will open two more Southeast Asian languages in March, offering language instruction in Burmese and Indonesian.

According to the Foreign Language Center, over the past year, there has been a significant increase in the number of people learning the language in Southeast Asia.

Among them, the largest number of language learners takes Vietnamese courses.

The language teachers are recommended by the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature in NCKU. They all have teaching experience and ability to speak Mandarin.
