Macronix CEO Miin Wu Receives Honorary Doctorate From NCKU-wn

Miin Wu, CEO of Macronix International Co. Ltd. a leading integrated device manufacturer in the Non-Volatile Memory (NVM) market, received an Honorary Doctorate degree in Engineering from National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), southern Taiwan, on December 14.
The Honorary Degree in Engineering was conferred on Wu in recognition of his contributions to Taiwan and his dedication to electrical engineering education.
Upon receiving the degree from NCKU President Huey-Jen Jenny Su, Miin Wu expressed his appreciation and praised the university's efforts at advocating electrical engineering.
Miin Wu founded Macronix International Co., Ltd. in1989. He has been the Chairman of Macronix since March 2005 and currently serves as the CEO of the company.
NCKU has given Honorary Doctorate degrees to many internationally renowned scholars and masters, including the 1986 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry Yuan-Tseh Lee, the 2004 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry Aaron Ciechanover, the member of the USA National Academy of Sciences Britton Chance, and the Notable Mathematician Shing-Tung Yau, one of the 1982 winners of the Fields Medal that is often described as the 'Nobel Prize of Mathematics'.
